Where is the parade taking place?
This year we are holding two separate parades.
Farmington Hills on December 16
Huntington Woods on December 17
What can I expect at the event?
We'll meet at the starting location, those who wish are welcome to hop on the float or follow along in their cars.
We'll drive the parade route with great Chanukah music playing and stop at houses along the route to say the blessings
and light tiki "candles" placed in the yards of those who have signed up to have us stop by.
The parade will continue until it's final stop where there will be a fun party with treats, games, stories, and fun for everyone.
At the conclusion, those who have ridden the float will be driven back to the starting location if needed.
How can I participate?
You can ride the parade float
Follow behind the float in your car
Be a stop along the parade route for us to light a tiki "candle" and say the brachot with you
Join us for the party at the final stop
You are welcome to participate in ANY and ALL of the ways listed above!
What is the parade route?
The route is different for each neighborhood. Maps of each route are posted below.
How do I get you to place and light a torch in my yard?
When you register for the parade on the RSVP page there is an option to request a torch be placed in your yard.
We'll place the torch in your yard the day of the event, stop by during the parade to light it, and collect it at the end of the evening.
Who is sponsoring this event?
Congregation B'nai Moshe is partnering JFamily and with two neighborhoods in the area for parades in each subdivision.
Due to the generosity of sponsors at Congregation B'nai Moshe and JFamily, this event is FREE to all!
Do I need to be a member of B'nai Moshe to participate?
These events are open to all who would like to join us and membership is NOT required to participate in this event.
